Description

Painted in Concarneau, France, on the Brittany coast in 1930. The peasant dress at that time was still heavily influenced by medieval mores. This painting, whose whereabouts was unknown for almost 90 years was discovered in the Santa Barbara area and acquired by us. Paul Gauguin painted in Concarneau and Rocle’s work reflects his influence on her.
