Early California impressionist, Dedrick Stuber, was born in New York City and studied at the Art Students League. He painted southern California and environs after moving to California in 1920 and settling in Los Angeles.
He was a member of the Painters and Sculptors of Los Angeles and the Laguna Beach Art Association, and his work hangs in several prominent museums.
This painting, Changing Shadows, was published in the Los Angeles Times in a feature article, c1921.
