Frank Myers is an underrated early Carmel artist. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was already an acclaimed artist, he moved to California and specialized in paintings of the coast. He was renowned for his treatment of light and shadow, energetic, loose brushwork and expressive colors.
